Could anyone please tell me how I physically connect a second sound card in my computer?
I know where to slot it in etc but I don't know where I should connect the audio lead? To the back of the CD drive where my 1st card is connectec (as a slave) or in the back of my 2nd CD drive?
Help is very much appreciated!

If you are running Win2K or XP you don't need those analog audio cables anymore, you can route the audio digitaly through the IDE cable.

Go into device manager and click on your CD drive. Click on the Properties tab and put a checkmark in the box next to "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-Rom device".

Just curious as to why you are using 2 cards?

I'm using 2000 unfortunately. I want to put in another soundcard to run some games that only work on win 98 (the other OS on my comp) and my Soundblaster Audigy dosen't work with 98 so those old games only play in silence.
Just an old machine I'm afraid!

gotcha, never actually tried that. so I assume what you'll do is enable one card for one OS and disable the other?

Yes, just switch between which ever one I need to use.
I tried turning on the digital CD but it seem to have a knock on affect to my Media Player.

You don't really need to disable either of the sound cards. I have had 2 sound cards working in Win 98Se as a recording computer. Now I have 2 Audigy cards in my other computer with XP Pro.

Is this card an Audigy 1 or Audigy 2. Do you know the model number? Should be SB0090 or SB0350, something like that.

If EAX is not important, you might want to try the kX drivers.
