One user in my LAN of 35 computers is experiencing a problem with e-mail. He has received 1400 e-mails in the last 3 days. The content of the e-mail is familiar to him...that is it is e-mail he had received previously in the last three months. The e-mail is dated anywhere from April to June 2001. The temporary solution for the user is to delete everything and cross his fingers. The user said this problem occurred about 3-4 months ago too...and to "resolve", he deleted the extra e-mails. Our e-mail is hosted off-site...I wonder if there may be a problem there. Also I did a Norton Anti-Virus scan (with full live-update completed) and it came up clean. I can't figure out what the problem/solution is. HELP! Thanks

Sounds like when he checks his mail the client is not deleting the messages on the server. Could be that when the account gets too big it sends them to the client once more before being purged. But I'm just guessing. Their should be a setting in the email client to delete mail from the server after so many days.
