I can make nice designs with my litle photoshop/html/css knowledge.
but i wonna learn how to create more advanced stuff. like polls, message board and stuff like that if you know what i mean. first i thought about start learning JS but then i noticed that everything nice that i see is made by ASP or PHP.
so i wanted to ask what am i able to create which each of this 3 languages? and what should i learn?and there is another thing.
can anyone please give me a code of a box which send the information which i fill into my e-mail box? i need it to have have 4 lines to fill the name,e-mail,phone and fax. and of course the big message box. thx a lot :>

For interactive content such as message boards, polls, etc. you will need to use something like PHP or ASP. If you are doing this just for personal use, I would suggest PHP - it is open source, free and there are tons of free scripts available. If you are looking at this for a career I would suggest ASP or .NET. Do realize that you will also need to lear a little about databases as well.
Javascript is used mostly for client-side interaction such as form validations. But, PHP is very similar to PHP, so if you know one you can pick up the other very easily.
As for an email form, there are many scripts on the net, just do a search - either PHP or ASP.

lets say that i want to learn not because i want to build a site or something, but just for the interest. i still don't know what should i start. and i always thought that i can do mroe stuff with asp, because except most of the forums almost every cool thing that i see is made with asp. even this forum if i am not wrong is also made by asp.

Did this not answer your question then?:
"If you are doing this just for personal use, I would suggest PHP - it is open source, free and there are tons of free scripts available."
The majority of message boards/forums on the internet use PHP. Other than the fact that this site uses CGI, there is no indication as to any other technologies that it uses that I can tell. There could be any number of other technologies that are used on the server side.
