Greetings,
I am developing a personal website which is located at www.limeblue.org
I am using notepad to create my website. I have designed it so it will display nicely
even at 800x600 resolution.However, here is my current situation:
1.) version 6.0.2800 of Internet Explorer displays the website just the way i want it to.
2.) version 7.1 of the Netscape browser does not display the website very well at all
3.) version 7.51of the Opera browser does a decent job of displaying the websiteWhen i view my website on my local computer without connecting to the internet to view it,
netscape displays the website much better then when i view it over the internet. This doesn't
make sense to me why this is. The html, CSS, and browser version are all the same.Here is my HTML code for the index.htm page:
======================================<html>
<head>
<title>Welcome to limeblue.org</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css\index.css">
<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript" src="scripts\index2popup.js"></script>

==================================Can someone please shed some light on this situation for me? Please feel free to view my website with
I.E., Netscape, and Opera.... amongst other browsers. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.Thank you for your time,
*Nick*

Why are you using different .css files??? You need to use the one file, and define contextual clases within that file to represent the different areas of the site.
I just tried this with Firefox, and it does indeed look different to IE, but I wouldn't like to say which is the "correct" display since they both look faulty.

Take Tsurfas advice
p.s, that writting at the start is unreadable
saying that on the popup webpage that comes out looks like yv used the 'system' font
Why? it looks ugly

i agree with jamie on this big time. that background pic on the popup is like the 60's, but if its just a personal site and you like it, i wont mess with it.
i dont see any big problems with IE except the words at the bottom are heard to read and on the first page all of links are all scrachy
with my firefox, the flash movie doesnt play (more than likely that i havent configured it too, i wouldnt worry about this)
however, on the popup, with firefox, NOTHING but those hard reading fonts at the top popup, no pic in them middle and no words at the bottom (possibly because i havent enabled javascript for firefox yet, i never use it).
aside from those, they're pretty much the exact same. im using 1024x768x32 res.FBI_Agent
