Hi there,
If I were to use a self made image as a background for my webpage, what size in pixels should I make it to fit the screen in all resolutions?

If your image is something that can tile you won't need to worry about a size. If your image is something like a picture, I would use cascading style sheets to position the image in the center of the background. See this link http://www.htmlhelp.org/reference/css/color-background/background-position.html for more info. If done correctly, the image will auto center in all resoultions. Hope this helps.

Hi Randy
Thanks! I have tiled the picture and in Frontpage it works but once uploaded to the web it doesn't, the backgroound is blank! Any ideas? It's weird! If I change the background color instead of image it works but not the image?
Thanks
Paul

Without being able to see what you have I can only guess. I am wondering if the image is a .gif or .jpg, I seem to remember once having a problem with .bmp image, maybe check that. Also, are you sure you have the image name the same (upper & lower case) and in the same folder you have it in on your computer. If these guesses don't solve the problem, post your websites address and I can look at the code.

Sorry I don't know, all I did was change the picture (they both were gifs) and the second one worked!
