I run a site on IIS and things have gotten screwy with my Frontpage counters and guestbook. I plan to move my site to use either Apache (if a friend helps me figure out the bloody thing) or a clean webserver interface called Key Focus. Just so I can pull away from Microsoft especially if other OS files get corrupted. What I am looking for is coding to have a hit counter on my site working again. Does not matter to me how the code works or what it uses, as long as it is not hosted by anyone but me. My counters, from Frontpage, currently track just hits and not unique visitors. That is fine for the new counter I am looking for (FP will not work with Key Focus or Apache). So any help with a hit counter would be great. Oh yes, FREE. Any coding sites you provide must not be asking for money or banners or junk like that. If you have any other questions, please ask. Thanks.
As God blesses America, resistance will be, and always has been, futile.
Until you know what platform you are using, we can't really provide a solution. Will your new server support, PHP, ASP, CGI, ???
Finding one will be easy once you know the language you want to use just type in "PHP counter script" into google for example. You'll find plenty of free scripts.
