A gig? Of disk space? I don't think you're going to find any free host who gives you a gig of space.

Secondly...do you realize how long it would take you to transfer a gig of data from your computer to the server?

Thirdly...people are not going to download a 1GB movie file. That's insanely huge!

I assume you're referring to the video file from your other posts. You seriously need to take the advice people have given you there. Compress the file so it's actually a decent size.

If you can't cut the size and still want to put that 1 GB movie for the internet, you'd better use p2p, bittorrent is perfect.

If the movie won't be too attracting for 99% people on the internet, then it's ok to put it directly. If it's attracting, leechers will be a big problem that'll suspend your hosting account although you pay (lots of money) for an "unlimited bandwidth" account.

azureus.sourceforge.net is a bittorrent client with GUI to (relatively) easily generate a torrent file.

To act as a bittorrent tracker, at least a port on your PC must be accessible from the internet.
