Is there somewhere on the net that tests your web site on how quick or slow it loads up on a basic 56k modem. I have ADSL and it doesn't really give me an idea how quick it is for other computers to see it. www.gcambo.com if someone could take a look it would be of help. There is no ads or banners involved just a plain old web page. Thanks.

Maybe I caught your server at a bad time or something, but your site is EXTREMELY slow on my 3mbit connection. Has to be a killer on dial-up.

Took me 15 seconds before I was able to see anything. I usually would have closed the window by then, expecting a dead server.

Oh...and just noticed the entire site is in Flash. That's a BIG no-no in my book, and is normally considered really bad practice, by anyone who knows web design.

Thanks for your time, I get what you mean about being in flash but I guess I got carried away when I started, after I relised I just couldn't be bothered to start all over again. It loads pretty quick for me but every know and then people tell me it just wouldn't load up.

I took 20 seconds load on my T1 connection. If it's loading "pretty quick" for you, then you're pulling up the pages from your cache. You really need to get rid of most, if not all, of the flash.

Some other pages load up slow too, so that is no the real problem. The real problem, imho, is that visitors don't know that anything is loading. I saw a white screen for about 15 seconds... if I would see a loading status or something, I would be more intent to stay and wait.

Regards.
