I have a 17 inch monitor and my web page www.gcambo.com(No Ads on site)seems to fit on my screen but friends have told me it doesn't on their monitors. My Q: is there a way to make it fit all monitors sizes the same.

Yes and No. The problem that your friends are experiencing have to do with the RESOLUTION they are running, NOT the size of their monitor. If they are running hte same resolution as you, then the page will be displayed the same, but larger or smaller depending on the size of their monitor in relation to yours.

There are two methods of "attempting" to get a web page to look "correct" regardless of the resolution of the visitors.

The first option is to use relative sizes whenever possible. For instance make a table 50% wide instead of hard coding the size to where it would be half the width on your monitor. This method is never perfect, but is the best if you need/want your page to fill the monitor.

The other option is to build your site with hard coded values based upon the MINIMUM reolution any of your visitors would be running. These days that resolution would be 800 x 600. If you create your site so that it will fit in that resolution, then it will fit on larger resolutions as well. This method is best if you must cater too a large audience. If you notice, this site uses this method. You can expand the page as large as you want, but everything past the right ads is just blank space.

lmao, ok. check this out. there's an image going 700 pixels across as the banner, meaning that the people he's talking to are using 640x480 res screens. that's so horrible. if you wanted them to be able to see it you'd either have to have them change their resolution or cut off about 80-100 pixels on your banner

OR

it seems that you have a piece of code that is making the image larger

<div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; width:700px; height:115px; z-index:1; left:30px; top: 0px;">[img src="ca2.jpg"height="87%"width="102%"]</div>

first off, you CANT have 102% width. it's not correct. so if you change that and then edit the style width on the div then it should work perfectly, but i havent read all of your cod, only that part so there may be more.
good luck!
