I want to set up a web cam in my classroom for students to be able to view my lectures. How would I go about doing this?

Does anybody know what the best web cam is available today?

Thanks for your time,
nate

Check out the PHP Webcam Server code on sourceforge.net. I personally use a high-end Logitech brand myself.
