Hi,
This may sound a strange question but I've noticed a trend with the format of URL's and I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on how it's used.
It seems a lot of sites having a format similar to the following:
http://casino.williamhill.com/promo...
or
http://casino.williamhill.com/games...
i.e. What seems to be a huge series of folders and sub-folders (including multiple words linked with dashes) and in most cases there are no file names at the end.
Obviously I've seen this before, but in most cases I'd seen this there was a hidden index.html (or similar) file which it would be loading.
Am I right in thinking this is just a huge series (in some cases anyway) of folders and subfolders? Or is there some way of achieving this without lots of folders in your webspace?
Thanks...
