I completely revamped my website using Adobe GoLive and uploaded it and...ooops. Instead of dumping all my files in the main directory, I thought I was doing the smart thing and organizing files into folders: CSS, Images, and pages. All links working perfectly locally.
However, I forgot the basic lesson of how a website works: typing the URL brings you to index.html in the main directory. Shucks!
To do a quick solution I put one of those "click here to enter site" up as the true index.html, and linked that to my real home page.
I don't like sites that require an extra click before you get to the real site. Is there a way to fix this without going through and changing all the links and images etc? Something that automatically redirects? This is probably something very basic, so thanks in advance for your patient advice!

you can use an auto redirect

i found this page for you that will give you the code you need

http://www.designerwiz.com/ad-frame...

i think that the relevant part of the code is:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="8;url=http://">

where 'content' contains the amount of time prior to the redirect followed by the url to be redirected to ... place this code in the <head> </head> section of a blank page with a simple message that they will redirected in 8 seconds (or whatever)
