I am in the process of creating a website (www.thegreatdebateonline.com) using Dreamweaver. At first everything was going fine. In an attempt to organize the files I created folders to organize page by category. What happen was, when I tried to save the page in the folder Dreamweaver asked me did I want to update link? I clicked yes. I loaded the page to server and viewed the page. Everything was fine, so I though. Then I went to another computer and none of the images were there. I checked the code and for some reason the img src was pointing to files on my computing!!!
I thought that by updating the links img src would still point to /images/pic.gif. Do I have to go back and make each link an absolute link? Or did I do something wrong?

No, you didn't do anything wrong. When you move(or save) a file to a different folder, you must allow DW to update the links, unless you are going to manually change them.
I checked out your site and found nothing wrong; I saw all the images. I looked at your code and it's full of relative links pointing to "images/pic.jpg".
I don't see your problem.

Thanks SullyD. By the time you reviewed the site I probably took that page off. I did figure out what my prboblem was. Instead of letting DW create the folder I created the outside of DW. When I went back and let DW create the folder everything was fine. the links look like "../images.pic.gif"
Thanks for the follow up.
