Comment: How do you save an image with a transparent background? I know it must be as .gif or .png and that there are issues with .png in IE, but I can't seem to make my images transparent in the first place. I have photo express & MSpaint - I can set a color as transparent in paint but when I load it in my browser (Firefox) it still has a white background; I can't even see where to set attributes in photo express... am I being a bit dense? how do I get rid of my nasty white background? -(>_<)DO~/)-^

Reply: (edit)The best way to do this is in photoshop as i'm not aware of a way using your other programs... so in photoshop, simply copy and past your artwork into a new document however, when entering the size of your new document (you will be automatically promted to do so), be sure to tick the transparent BG button and presto! From there you can use the 'Save for web" function to save your image as either a PNG or GIF, but when saving for web just check you also have transparency turned on. Best of luck homeboy.

Reply: (edit)It can be done in MSpaint but only as .gif, it doesn't support .png so gradients don't work... ho-hum.(I don't have photoshop, the new version does'nt run on ME, oh yeah and it's $599..) Is there any html,php,etc.. that makes a color transparent for say, a whole page? -{>_<}DO~/}-^
