Specs: Linux
I am a corporate employee, i have an ,kindly help me out if you have a solution for it.
we have a corporate test website which points to production website, the database is merged somewhere. the website is created using LAMPP.
we updated two columns namely WP_OPTIONS,WP_POSTS in the database for changing the URL of the test webserver and its not reflecting the test website.(we didnt update anything except these two field in the database). surfed through the net, someone came with a opinion to add two columns in the wp-config.php. Is that the correct solution for this issue?
Looking forward for a apt reply.

Thank you

You are not explaining your problem very clearly.

First of all, tell us that you are working with WordPress - this is far more relevant than that you are using a LAMP setup.

Secondly, tell us what changes you made to those tables (did you change the metadata or just update the data in some fields? In either case, what exactly were the changes that you made? And what results were you expecting?). Why change the database directly rather than using the Administration panel?

Thirdly, what changes did you make to wp-config.php, and what were you trying to achieve?

With a clear statement of the situation, what the problem is, and what you are seeking to achieve it might be possible to give some advice.
