I just downloaded Mozilla Firefox to use as a web browser instead of IE, but I need some help in figuring out how to use the "tabbed browsing" function, where you can have losa pages open at once, while still only running mozilla once. I checked the built-in "help" function, and it went on and on about how great tabbed browsing is, but didn't actually tell me how to use it. any help?

once you have a web page loaded you use use the CTRL key on your keyboard together with a mouse click to open a new link in a tabbed window - in other words do the normal mouse click on a link but press the CTRL key at the same time
you will notice the difference between CTRL+CLICK and SHIFT+CTRL+CLICK - try it!
also, to create a new tab, use CTRL+T and you can enter whatever new url you want in the new tab

ALSO: tools > options > advanced. under tabbed browsing, make sure that the box for "Hide the tab bar when only one website is open." is NOT checked. also, you can customize your other tabbed browsing at this point :) then, once this is done there should be a darker grey bar with the tab of the current page your on. once you have this, you can right click in the area and select new tab for another tab.

You may also be able to use the "scroll wheel button" (or third, middle mouse button) to open a link in a new tab.
