SMTP on IIS with Exchange Server

After configure SMTP under IIS,whether we need to install Exchange Server to send and receive email? Or without Exchange Server we also can do that?If so, by default XP Pro didn't have POP3 Server, what is my POP3 address?

Yes you need to install a server, there is no default pop3 address you need a pop3 server either installed on your machine if you have a domain hosted or using an isp pop3 server
