Hey guys,

My cousin has asked me to design a site for him that will closely resemble www.gopensacola.com.

Now I've done some basic HTML sites before, but this will be my first PHP/ flash site.

I noticed the main window on the page uses flash. Now my question is:
1# Every month that we update the site's pictures for the flash window, will we have to update the pictures in flash and then recompile the .swf into a single file OR
would the flash code only have to be written one time and then we just change the picture refrences(rename the new files to the names that the flash .swf was complied in. Example: 1.jpg)

#2
Do you guys know of any web or flash templets/examples out on the web that would do what that main window does on the site?(www.gopensacola.com.)

Thanks for any and all help,

Adam

Hi, both methods should work. Most commonly and simply, the first method where you recompile the .swf file after importing the updated image to produce a new animation is used by most Flash sites. Or you can program the Flash dynamically to call external files. Dynamic Flash is a bit more sophisticated programming and could require a longer learning curve.
