Any suggestion I should create my own web server, and host my own website, or use hosting company's? Does anyone has any instructions how to setup you own web server? do I need to have a fast internet connection in order to get a nice performance? what is the min requirement seed? any input will be apreciated. software needed: Apache - recommended i doubt you will have a fast enough connection to successfully host it your self. I host my own, 3MB download with 30Kb upload obviously upload is all that counts, so ignore your download speed, it means nothing it all depends on how much traffic your going to be having on whether or not to go with a host ive just made a site that requires a fast connection, so rather than use my own server at 30KB, ive acquired some space from a 250KB server Jaymc.co.nr

i suggest you have someone else host your site. its alot less of a hassle. you dont want to deal with the maintenance, backup, etc etc of running a server. its cheaper too. A+ Certified
