Send form results to email- Dreamweaver/mysql

Macromedia Dreamweaver mx

Specs: Windows XP
I am creating a website on Dreamweaver MX with php, I am new to it and having problems...
I have made a contact form, which writes to a mysql database when the submit button is pressed, however, I would also like an email to be sent notifying me of the update when someone fills it in. I'm not sure if I can use "<form action= get" or the "mailto: function" because I already have a form action, which posts to the mysql database.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Where do I put this if I want it to send after the submit button has been pressed? I have a page "dbinsert.php" which puts the details entered in the contact form into a mysql database, would I put the function on that page or would I put it on the page with the form?
