I have a question about an rss feed, I have never used this before but I cant seem to find the answer to this one. I have someone that wants me to do a site for them for a fantasy baseball team. They wanted to know how they could do automatic updates for stats (meaning as the game progresses there players stats get automatically updated). Could I do this with an RSS feed from say yahoo or ESPN.com.

Sure, that would be one way to do it. The most common ways of doing this are RSS and web services (via SOAP). RSS is a little more simple and less capable than web services, but I would think that for a simple application like this one that RSS is the way to go.

Here's ESPN's rss feed page:
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/rss/

Lots of other rss feeds, including a sports section:

Sorry if you already figured this much out...If you're getting stuck somewhere specific, post back and let us know.

Good luck,
-SN
