Re-route our new website

Specs: Windows 7
We just created a new website and our old site that was created in 2006 is still up. We were told not to get rid of the old website because it has more strength in the google market since it has had more traffic then our new site. How hard is it for us to route the new site to the old one, but make it the new web page that the customer see's? Is this even possible? We would be changing from a .net to a in our web browser/

Just replace the main index at your current site with something like this. Should automatically forward the page. Change the to your new page. Change the Http:// to your old page.

<script language="javascript"><!--
You are being redirected to our new website at <a ref="http:\\"> Please click the link if it fails to forward you. Thank You!
