I'm having trouble removing certain folders from my FTP site. Everytime I try to delete them, is says "550 Can't remove directory: Directory not empty". The folders are completely empty, all contents erased. The permissions are also set to Read, Write and Execute.

I don't use SmartFTP, but the one I do use offers an option to "Recursive Delete", which does the job. That option, which should be there for you too, will delete all sub-folders and files within the target folder as well as the target itself, same way as the old DOS command Deltree worked. You will probably need to refresh the tree afterwards to see the results.
