Hello Everyone,
Two questions, please:
1. Any of you aware of a site that lets you register a .com for like 10 years for cheap?
2. When I get a domain from a site, what should I look for because I am going to host my own domain.... so, the first thing that comes to mind is: the "control over the Name Servers".... any thing else?
thanks guys,
-BC

In answer to your first question, i'm not sure you can register a domain for that long. Most commonly you register it for a period of two years and then just re-register it again then.
In answer to your second question, most domain registrars are all about the same. Try to make sure it is registered with ICANN though otherwise you might be going through a middleman and will be paying more.
Response Number 2 Reply:
Almost any decent registrar will let you register for 5 or 10 years. I've seen some go as high as 100 years, though I'm not exactly sure why anyone would pay for that.
Complete control over the domain is a good thing. If your registrar doesn't offer the ability to handle your nameservers, create your own nameservers, or change your WHOIS contact info, look somewhere else.
