"Back to top" link does not work

There is a problem with the links that are displayed on the right. Some are not displayed on all pages. This might be by design, but it is not consistent. If you click Madeline only two links are displayed on the right - but as soon as you click on "The Bowen Technique" the directions to Madeline's practice dissapear and other therapies appear.

The site is easily navigable and is easy to read, but it is definitely missing any kind of style.

Thanks.

What do you mean by style? Do you mean that it's not stylish enough, or are you referring to the inconsistency in the links?

Also, in your opinion, do you think I need to learn CSS and use this to design the site?

By style I mean that the site has no personality.

CSS is a great thing. You could create a site without it, but...

CSS is much more powerful than it seems - there are many things you can do with it. For example, if you were to update the site to have a "stronger" presence - if your site utilized CSS you could update the look of all the pages by editing just your Style Sheet instead of having to edit every page.

After mastering HTML I always suggest people learn CSS then JavaScript. then you can go into more advanced server side scripting.

To me, the site is just plain boring. Dozens of links and pages of text. Boring! I think I only came across one picture in the entire site. Spice it up a little. Like MichaelJ said, give it some personality!

It's a nice basic website. Now do something with it.

It has a smart simple design, is easily naviagable and seems to provide all the information that anyone would need who wanted to use the service.

Yes, for future websites, CSS would enable you to do nicer things (like letting the main collumn expand to fill the screen if people are viewing on screens of more than 800 pixels wide, so they have smaller margins on each side), but this site looks good and seems to do its job well.

one thing you might want to check is the color schema. For instance,i am using lap top right now and i can hardly see any background color. So make sure that the colors are standardizable and not just picked up from the color palette.
Also, i always hate when in order to send an e-mail I have to open the Outlook and copy paste to my yahoo or google e-mail. It would be much easier if i just see the email address. Also, it is very usefull if you have a submit-message functionality inlcuded within the page. So i would not even need to go to my e-mail address. I can just write and submit the message immediately.
