Comment: Hi there, I am a novice/amateur website maker. I just have a photo gallery that I created in Frontpage XP. I like Frontpage as it is simple to use (wish I knew where to get good free templates) and not as complex as Macromedia. I found a server to host my gallery then I shortened the name. Recently I decided to spice up my little gallery with a flash intro. Since my site is only one page, I didn't know how to create the flash intro within my current site and linking it to the actual photo gallery. What I did was I got another host account just for the flash intro and when the flash intro loads it will do directly to my gallery (hosted on the other server). Is there another way to do this by the way? Cause I don't think the servers allow me to have for example xxx.com/xxx just the straight site as xxx.com. I thought I got it to work, but when I go there, instead of the flash loading (it is on the index page) it shows an Index/ listing the files on the space I have. I then would have to click the index.html link to load the flash. How do I correct this problem? You can visit it to see what I mean. I included the link. Thank you.

Reply: (edit)try index.htm the default file extension needs to be defined in the webservers config file. if it is set to .htm then index.htm files will automatically show up, but if its .html then you will be left with that directory listin page Sign Me Guestbook!jaymc.co.nr

Reply: (edit)Ok. I have changed the case. I think it works now. Do a check for me as before it loaded on some person's PC but not some. IT worked on mine and someone else's. I'd like to know for sure. http://www.easyvibes.tk. I am working on a full site with more pages and all that right. Right now I use two servers. One that hosts the flash intro and one that hosts the actual site. The only way I knew. But I have a flash intro (with text and swf files) and I want to use it for my full site. But instead of when the flash loads on one server it goes to a new URL, I want to use one server this and make the index page load to my home page. In the text file there is a place to put the URL that the flash loads to when it finishes. Currently I have the other URL. But I want to find a way to make it load a page within my site i.e. the homepage. How do I do this? P.S. Does anyone know where I can get free flash content for my website for free? Whether it be navigation, intros, website templates, games etc.? Thanks again!

Reply: (edit)I am looking but nothing. Tell me exactly where after I sign in. I see my profile, my domain, marketing stats and my e-mail. Don't see anywhere to turn off ads. Let me know.
