Reply: (edit)If the background colour of the page isnt absolutely vital to displaying the data on the page, as in the link above, you should not force people to print the background of the page because they may be using a black and white printer or their colours may not display as they are on the actual webpage. However, if you really want to display a background colour for your web page the only other way i can think to do it is to use an actual image the same size as your page and set the z-index to be lower than everything else on your page.
