Dear Friends,

I hav 5 PCs say PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4, PC5.. this 5 PCs is connected to a centralized server say CS, which forms a DOMAIN (collection of computer which forms a intranet).

Now a user sitting at any terminal and not centralised server can do 2 types of login.. ie

LOCAL LOGIN
DOMAIN LOGIN

If i want to design a portal, such that if user logged in as local user and opens my portal, then it must prompt user to do a domain login and if user has done a domain login then my portal must display the required information..

how can i achieve this.. what are the things i must use like webservers, where i must place my portal site (in central server or in some portal server, if portal server then where portal server will be deployed)..

PLs reply will a clear solution, i am very confuised..

kindly let me know at the earliest..

THANKS

You can place the portal site on either a centralized server or on one of the pc's itself. You can just use a regular pc as a server. I suppose since you are just networking 5 pc's this is a home/very small business network.
