Hi all,
Is there a possibility of making some kind of 'portal' on my website that would allow, through secure username/password setup, access a designated PC inside my home LAN?
My web site is running off my laptop at home, sitting behind a wifi DSL router. I would prefer to log in to my PC via my web site rather than via Remote Desktop.
Its only an idea i had, hopefully someone can shed some light....

yep, its IIS.
If you dont mind me asking. How would you go about creating a login box that would then open another browser window or frame within the same window that showed all the contents of the shared directory?
thanks

You can run Remote Desktop through a web interface! Here's a tutorial on how to do it: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/northrup_03may16.mspx

I see. That solution i had used before already. I was hoping of actually avoiding Remote Desktop if at all possible.
Thanks in any case MJ.

Hmm... Try to limit access to the folder to a Windows Username, I think it'll work. This is much simpler than creating a membership system.
