O.k. guys, will try this again after advice from higher ups. Thanks for all your help in the past - this is appreciated by both my company and myself.

I'll get straight to the point:

1. I am looking for ways to make a pop up
"how to" I want to make a flash
mobie pop up as it does in this
site: http://www.onsitevideos.com
I need pointers on how to make the
pop up. I have made the movie.
Any reading, etc.

2. My 2nd question is I would like to ask
some intelligent criticism on my graphic
cybercat, it is located at:
http://www.myspace.com/virgiebear
It is my first masked animation in
flash wherein I took a movie, imported
it into flash and masked out the cat
and made the movie transparent. I
would like pointers on how to make it
smoother, clearer, what can I do
in flash or other programs, i.e.
Photoshop, to make it "SMOOTHER"?

Only two questions, and hope they don't get deleted as they haven't been answered yet and this is specific to the point: "How to make a flash movie pop up and pointers on my graphic on a separate web page.

My experience is a lot with Photoshop 7, entry level on flash mx, light dreamweaver and future experience in illustrator.

Thanks again as I am learning and like many other people need the assistance along the way!!!!!!

Concerning your first question you need to look at putting the flash animation into a layer. Then you can place it anywhere on the page.

Here are a couple tutorials on how to position a layerd div (your animation should be in a div).

http://www.echoecho.com/csslayers.htm

Plus, you would need some javascript code to dynamically "move" the div such that it stays withint the same positin relative to the browser window. Couldn't find a specific tutorial, but here are a couple that should help:

Basically you would just keep changing the position based upon the page movement and height/width.

Thank you, as you can see I have a little "Flash" experience and don't have much experience in web design using cascading style sheets. My first experience with this was with Myspace.

The way I was going to do same was via a transparent popup using action code and then using the javascript code between the head tags for the html as this is what i found on research but have not had the time working and moving to do it or test it out.

I think I need to take a few classes or learn more about cascading style sheets and the "div" codes as I am from the old "html"
only and slight "javascrip" school.

And the javascript to make sure it stays within the same place within the browser window - a lot of codes with myspace are like this.

Thank you so very much for the links and I will delve into it sometime this week as time permitting and post back, it's kind of like when you have only Word Perfect Experience and Microsoft Office rules, you must expand and adapt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought I would never learn photoshop and finally afte 2 years just started delving back into flash, went through dreaweaver once but it's been a while and will learn and use daily again, then of course illustrator.

Again, can't thank you enough. I will post back results.
