I was pretty dog gone proud that I had managed to secure site hosting and domain registration. But when I went to acquire an app to create web pages, I was stunned. There are thousands. I'd like to ask my friends here at Computing.Net to recommend a WYSIWYG editor for HTML. I can narrow the choices down to a couple/few products.

Personally I don't use any WYSIWYG editors, but Dreamweaver always seems to be at the top of any lists.

I was brand new to the whole scene and invested in Dreamweaver. I've had no regrets. The votes were heavily in favour of Dreamweaver as opposed to Front Page. It is still advisable to at least learn the basics of html because you will have to tweak the odd situation. I use a combination of html and css now but DreamweaverMX handles both well in my opinion. Again, I still code partly outside of DReamweaver.
