Reply: (edit)I should imagine that the viruses are coming from adverts on your webpage or popup ads, unless of course you have put up an infected file for download or something like that. Keep in mind though that it could also be spyware because some people don't know the difference. The best way to make sure you have full control over what is displayed and downlaoded from your website is to get yourself some paid hosting with no adverts. Mattmatt@webgrafix.co.uk

Reply: (edit)well The visitors say that each time they click on a link on my website the virus is detected again its name is VBS/Sarachi.A virus. I don't think it comes with advertising, cause freewebs doesn't have any ads so people said that I should rebuild it do you have any suggestions so the next version won't catch a virus ??

Reply: (edit)Make sure the server you upload your files to is secure. Email the company you get your webhosting from and find out if they have adequate virus and firewall protection. Mattmatt@webgrafix.co.uk

Reply: (edit)One of your visitors (on a Britney forum) says that the virus is in your home.htm file. I suspect it is somewhere in the root directory of your website and is therefore called up by every page, photo and link on your website. It is probably your computer that is infected and it is adding itself or a link to itself in any file you write and upload. Sarachi.A is a virus which one picks up by clicking on ActiveX links. Often these are used on hack-, porn-, serialz, warez etc. websites which ask you to click on an ActiveX link in order to see or download something. They are absolutely evil and often extremely difficult to get rid of, as they dig themselves deep into your registry. In your case I would do the following: a) try a roll back in XP b) delete all the files and photos etc. from the website c) update your anti-virus programm. If you don't have one, it's cyber-suicide and you're endangering everyone who visits your website. d) Check your computer for viruses. If the XP rollback (system restore) continually fails, then you definitely have a virus on it which has overwritten information in the registry which prevent a safe restore.
