Picture is rotated - Landscape vs. Portrait

Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit

I am using Dream Weaver CS4. The image I am using is turned landscaped. But when I save the photo to my PC and open the photo, it is displayed in portrait mode. Why does the web page show it in landscape?

"Landscape" is obviously the correct orientation for that picture, which means your locally stored stored copy in portrait mode is not correct if I understand you correctly.

Some applications (eg Dreamweaver) are able to analyse and, if necessary, auto-rotate images, though I usually rotate and re-save any such photos when I check through new ones each week.

Very easy to do with the built-in Photo Viewer in Windows 7.

No doubt Dreamweaver has an option to disable "Auto Rotate Images" if you so wish.

Are you saying I can disable auto-rotation? If so, how?

I was able to post the photo correctly by cropping the image with Photoshop CS6. But I would like to know how to turn off auto-rotate.
