I'm have a site built and people can login and upload/view their files. It is using Joomla!. I want a progress bar so people know the files are really upload/not timed out. Is it possible to do a progress bar on a PHP form?

My guy who is making the site says no. He recommends another lanuage, Javascript but says it is less secure. Any ideas or places I can point him?

The guy's right. You need more than php to do such things. And if it's just for a progress bar, I think there's no security risk.
