Hi.
I don't know if this question really belongs to Web development.
Anyway, I need a web browser that can be set to view only one web page while connected to the internet. I don't want something password protected. I need it to be compiled or set through a config file to view only one address without allowing the user to change it. In the same time maintaining its internet connecitivity (I don't want offline browsing of that page)

That seems quite strange I know. This machine should run as a public terminal to a web based mail server. I don't want people using it to open other websites and downloading private files.

Thanks a lot.
Joe

It's not practical putting that kind of control on the machine itself as it can usually be eaily circumvented and I've never heard of a browser that could handle such a thing.

A better approach is to block access at the router. Many routers have the ability to block certain IP addresses and/or only allow access to certain addresses.

Maybe Opera's Kiosk Mode?

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter

... now there's a revelation. I 'think' there's an Opera with kiosk mode - not really sure though (if only there was a link!)

Thanks jboy, I never knew of Opera Kiosk Mode. It's perfect, it has even more customizations that I thought of.

Thanks a lot, All.
