Alright i'm trying to setup my own Webserver and FTP server.
I'm using the latest Apache version.
During the install of Apache, 3 blank fields come up, the first two ask what your domain name is, i just put coined.no-ip.com, which just forwards to my IP address.
Well i setup Apache normally and went to http://127.0.0.1/ and it showed the "if you see this then your apache webserver works" page.
So after seeing that, i was pretty sure everything was working fine. But it seems no one from the outside can see my webserver. I gave my link to some friends and none of them can connect. 'Page cannot be displayed'
I gave them coined.no-ip.com and my actual IP, It doesn't work.
Also, same thing with my FTP server i'm running right now. I can open my own FTP client and connect to my own server just fine, and it says it's up.. No errors. But nobody can connect
I don't know alot about hardware and networking, i was thinking maybe it has something to do with my router?
I have a NetGear RP614 router, but i already configured the port forwarding to allow apache through port 80..
I tried to connect to my Webserver / FTPServer on my brothers computer which is i'm pretty sure on the same network and it didn't work either.
We share the same public IP adress alsoAlso i don't have any firewalls turned on.
So, anyone know why people can't connect to my server?
P.S. If you want go ahead and try to connect to my webserver right now, coined.no-ip.com

Oh, hmm.. I just asked someone to go to http://myIPaddress and they got a blank white page.
What does this mean? Does it work now?But when they go to coined.no-ip.com it times out and doesn't work at all.. Why's that?
'coined.no-ip.com' Is supposed to forward to my IP isn't it..?
When i ping coined.no-ip.com i get my IP address.. So why doesn't it work-Lice

Alright i feel sort of stupid now, I figured out I had an index.htm file that was blank on my webserver and when people went to http://myIPaddress they saw a blank white page.
So, guess that means my webserver works.
Just still don't know why my no-ip domain forwarding thing isn't working.
+ People still can't connect to my FTPServer.:-/
