ok so i have a new .com website with godaddy as the domain and onehost as the host....now my page is up and working, however all i have is the parent directory screen.....how, or what name do i upload my html website?...using the file manager??? another way?

Hi Mike,

You can use the File Manager interface in your control panel area (CPanel). It looks like you should place/upload your files into the public_html folder.

The first file a server looks for inside a directory is usually index.html, so try naming a file that and uploading it.

The web interface File Manager for your CPanel is fine for single-file editing and uploading but it's quite counter-productive and unuseful when it comes to maintaining a whole site. Therefore, I recommend finding out your FTP details and using an FTP client, such as SmartFTP to upload your files with.

Alternatively, some WYSISWYG web page editors have site management (i.e. FTP) support built-in, which makes it easier if you decide to use one of these programs, e.g. Macromedia Dreamweaver.
