Need simple free webspace. Pls hlp!

Hi all. I really need some advice - all I want to do is create a webpage on-line with just a page of text. I don't want to make a fancy website, with links, or have 25GB of space or anything - just something to place a page of text on, for people to read. I also don't want a site that will show pop-ups and advert banners to visitors. Can anyone suggest an online service that will allow me this, preferably UK-based, i.e. .co.uk domains? any kind of free web space will most likely have a banner at the top at least if not a popup with it
