Comment:
I am making a page on my site, and I need a prompt that comes up and asks for a name
(just someones name) and if its not in the list, it will close the window or redirect.

Its for security on that page.
(this will be in an embeded html file so they cant view the source.)

I think is starts like this:

window.prompt("Whats your name?" ,"Please Type it here")
and then the names it allows.

This is hard, im studying on professional javascript ebooks. (sounds pretty stupid eh?)
and I cant find out how to do this.
Any Help Will be appreciated.

Curiousity only injured the cat.
I finished it off..
Muahahaha...

Any security should be done on the server-side, such as PHP or ASP.

"this will be in an embeded html file so they cant view the source."

What's an embedded HTML file? If the user is accessing the page, they can view the source. If you block the "view source" function, they can still view it in their cache.

However, if you really want to go down this path, just do a Google search for "Javascript password"
