Please keep in mind I know the site has some major problems and i'm aware of them but I just now realized it looks like a color blind person made this site... The big problem? the header at the top of the page thats black I cant change that color. Now anything else I could so if anyone has any ideas to put some life in this site? would be a HUGE help.

Thanks, bye.

Call me crazy, but I don't mind the black so much.

What is completely bizarre to me, is that when you click on links for the "Build a PC," they go to a completely different layout/design. You need to stick to one.

If you think you have too much black, how about making the background some sort of grey, or a very subtle pattern?

Hi thanks for taking a look. I didnt get to those parts yet. I know its not good to have it like that but im getting the rest of the site done as we speak. So you are saying you think the color is good? it's just I see so many reviews of websites where people say "the page is too dull" "it lacks color" etc.

Bye.

Hi again.

Well yeah...the site does lack color, but color might not be what you're trying to portray. I've seen entire sites done strictly in black and white (and grey :) ) and they look good

I don't really know if what you have up there is good or bad, as far as the color is concerned...that's really subjective. But it certainly doesn't bother me. I don't see your site is being bad like so many others out there.

Quite frankly, everything on your site (while very little so far) is nice and organized and easy to find. I'll take your dull, organized site over disorganized with wacky colors and Flash everywhere, any day of the week. As I mentioned though, you might want to try ligtening the background a little just to see how it looks. Or throw some pattern back there. Never hurts to try.

Bryan, I was starting to worry about my site so your positive comments really helped me out. Now i'm more worried about messing something up (content wise i mean not the colors) that was fine in the first place.

Bryan, if you got some spare time you mind we talk on AIM? my AIM name is scottk6760. I need some help on the advice you are giving me. I will pay $15 with paypall for your help.

Bye.

You don't know what it means, though you took offense to it? A tad on the sensitive side, are we?

It's a quote from a popular SNL skit featuring Christopher Walken...and it means absolutely nothing. Honestly, I wrote it because your site was inaccessible at the time, though, if it makes you feel any better I don't want anything to do with you either.

Just step off the ledge, cheer up a bit and watch the video.

Care to explain? And the reason why im acting like this? go ahead and post your little comments on website review forums and just see how it takes till you are banned.

Jesus, you really need to lighten up.

Though I did not insult you or criticize your website in any
way whatsoever, you still insist on perceiving it that way.
Go ahead and email the admin, and ask them to ban me
for saying your website "needs more cowbell". Good luck
with that. "Website Review site" or not, your posts will
always be subject to open criticism and alike on a public
forum. If my harmless comment offended you this much...
do yourself a favor and disconnect your cable modem
now; you're in for a world of pain. Welcome to the
internet.

And by "your website was innaccessible", I meant I could
not connect to it at the time. Duh.

And if it makes your feel any better: Your website is
vanilla, though adequate for it's particular scope. Black is
the 2nd most common theme behind white and luckily
both are virtually compatible with any other color in the
spectrum, as long as it's subtle and moderate. No one
here can tell you what color your website should be...you'll
most likely have to experiment on your own. It looks like
you're using a 3rd party template for your website, so visit
other sites with similar themes and see what colors
they've chosen. If you want something entirely unique,
design your own.

Yeah and here we go talking about stuff we dont know. Yes I bought the PSD for the look of the site but guess what? the person did this custom for me meaning i told them how i wanted it to look and they did it. I also had it sliced. So your little thinking of me using some generic web tempalate is wrong again what a shocker huh?

Whats next? when i get good content on my site you'll say i bought that too?

Menu on the left, image at the top, links at the upper right of the body. I have no doubts your wrote it yourself, though it is a common layout regardless of how unique you claim it is. Save your $25 and pick any five sites off the top of your head and at least two will have the exact same layout. It's pretty much the De Facto standard for website templates, explaining my conclusion.

Nothing wrong with your site at all - as I've said before - it's a nice, clean layout perfect for the scope of your buisness. In no way was it my intention to criticize your site by confusing it with a template. Millions use them, and I'll occasionally throw one up myself. They're efficient. How is one to know you think so lowly of them?

Anyways...I'm done with this. It now appears to me that you're a total headcase. I'm backing out of the thread before you track me down and behead my dog or something. Good luck with your site, honestly.

jb60606, sorry for being like this. It's just that I work on this site over 12 hours a day and it gets to me. I know thats still no excuse to treat people like that though. I understand if you dont want anything to do with me and you could get my posts deleted.

Hey thanks. sorry for the late reply.

On another subject,I was thinking on an idea but the people I talked to dont really think it will work. I was planning on for my tweak section to have a text and image version but also having a video version of me doing the tweak? I dont see any sites doing this so is there a reason why? Just dont want to waste hours doing this if there is a big reason why it wont work so asking you people.

Thanks.
