There is a JavaScript error on yur main page.

Also, all your pages open in new windows - very annoying. There's a lot of wasted space on the home page. The page is way too long.

Like Michael J said, the page is way too long. People hate having to scroll too much on web pages.

hope you don't mind my comments

- the theme colours are too drab ... choosing lively colours will lift the mood of the site

- as michael has said, there is a lot of blank space ... you need to make better use of the screen's areas

- i find it annoying that there is no consistent theme throughout your site eg. classifieds is different style to homepage, as is photo gallery ... i understand that you are possibly using external services for these pages but it really makes the site look unprofessional ... sorry!

- why is your main text on your homepage centered? makes it very hard to read ... use paragraph headers to visually guide your visitors as web surfers scan more than they read

hope this helps ... i use firefox as my browser

O.K. I do appreciate all the input.
But it may take a bit.
As I said, I am a beginner and I have to take some time to figure out how to fix these things you pointed out.
Thanks...
till next time.

O.K. I changed "well pretty much everything" I think maybe it looks a little cleaner...
What do you think now...
Thanks for the help by the way.
Also, I really dont know how to make the main page look like the others. I think it may be possible. But I dont know enough about HTML to go into the Forum or the Classifieds and change the color schemes...
Maybe after I learn a little more.
Or look into some Forums to give me some pointers.

your changes on your homepage look good ... a couple of other things if i may

- your text in the top box is not the same font size throughout ... "visitors come..." is a smaller font ... looks odd

- "Join the springfieldsbestandworst.com" is underlined white ... is that on purpose? looks odd

- "WHAT THIS WEBSITE IS ABOUT" has "_" in the line just above it ... easy mistake to do

- i suggest that you apply the same 'theme' to your other pages ... if you can eg. your DOWNLOAD page, as well as BEST and WORST pages

- DOWNLOAD page ... the text is way too big ... looks like you are shouting :-)

one more thing ... your html code contains some errors that will need fixing ... i use a firefox extension to check on html errors ... it's called HTML TIDY and it is free ... it will give you enough info for you to fix up the errors on your pages

hope this helps and good work on the changes so far :-)

Perhaps web development is not for you, just yet. Everything that has been suggested is relatively easy to fix. You will, however, need at least a basic understanding of html. You can start by looking at the free tutorials and primers at HTMLGoodies.

Yes, Web Developement is for me. As I said I am NEW at this. "Very New" I will probably not be a pro. And I dont want to be. But I will learn to fix the errors eventually. Right now all the pages work fine, And that is my main concern at the moment. I will learn to fix the rest as I go. Thank you for all the helpful input.
It was appreciated.

My apologies.
I didn't mean to suggest that you give up developing for the web. I simply meant that you should gain more knowledge and experience before you start offering your services to others.
From a strictly amateur point of view, you've done better than some do, on their first project.
I hope you use the link I provided above, to help increase your knowledge. If you do, I'm sure you'll be posting again in a month or two, to show us your new, stylish, professional-looking website.

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.
