I am completely clueless. I have looked everywhere and can't find anything that will meet my needs. I want to make a widget that will search a certain page for a keyword. If it finds that key word I want it to display it and if it doesn't to display some other text. Any help or tutorials on how to make widgets for my site? I have tried Widgetbox and dapper. It's meant to be a school closing tracker.

the post below mine i take it is spam

to explain mine, you will need to use some sort of programming language to build the widget unless you can find one that writes the code for you by giving it instructions ... not sure where you would find such a thing

i suggested 2 programming languages that you could use to do the job, php and javascript

there are other programming languages you could use but i am familiar with these 2 mostly

may be someone at your school can help you with the programming aspect

hope this clarifies things for you

serge

ps i take it that you are talking about having your widget online or is it to work on a file on your computer?

I wanted it to be online. Good thing that I know someone that is taking classes in php and Visual Basic. He can really do anything on the computer. I'll see if he can help me. Thanks!
