Comment: I'm working on this site where on the main index I have 3 columns, on the left column I have my menu bar with drop downs. Then in the middle column I have some content and then the right column I have some small pictures and some news content. The Middle column is the widest column of the 3. I was try to figure out how I can get the links on the left column menu bar to open in the center column, so when I click on each link it just changes the content in the middle column and not the outer ones what is the best way to do this ? Thanks for any Help... John

Reply: (edit)from what i know, you have four options: 1)making new HTML pages 2)using frames (i would go against using this method) 3)making a PHP conditional and headers (i would use this probably) 4) javascript stuff (i dont know javascript) there may be a dhtml way of doing this but i dont know how that goes and i'd rather just use php. as for the easiest method, just make new html pages FBI AgentAIM: EliteAssassin187

Reply: (edit)Maybe you could use an inline frame in the center column and use your links to display your content in the frame.

If you use PHP, you actually still have all the columns in a single page, this is the (big) difference with using frames. Each has its own advantage/disadvantage. This is where I got introduced to PHP templating: http://www.phpfreaks.com/tutorials/8/0.php --- Site of the Day
