I have a question concerning layers...
I working on a new site and rather than having a scroll bar on the very far right side of the page for the entire window, I want viewers to be able to scroll just inside a certain "section" of the template for the site.
However the problem I'm having is when the page is opened up in different browser sizes my layers move all over the place.
I know there's the absolute, static, etc.. settings but I'm not sure which one to use. And would it be easiest to put the layer as an editable region in the template - I'm thinking probably...? Or maybe there's a better way to do this rather than using layers?
Take a look - it's a work in progress, but you'll see what I mean (I want to scroll only in the right hand side region if you look in the links:

I didn't look at the code, but I'm not sure why you would use layers. Just use a div with a set height/width and set the overflow property to auto.

Yep I agree, you only need layers if you really need to overlap images etc and can't do it any other way.
By the way the left menu that appears when you mouseover your main links disappears off the page on mine making it unusable.Wizard ICT. Microsoft Certified System Engineer.
