I've got 2 PCs connected to a router at home sharing a cable connection.

Both are Win98SE and have virus protection, Zone Alarm and use the most current IE.

One is hardwired, the other is wireless.

Both have ALWAYS been able connected to www.CitiCards.com or www.CitiBank.com (for accessing my card account...very handy).

All of a sudden one of the computers can no longer access either of those site. It can access other bank/card sites just fine (like Att, Discover, AmEx, and my local bank site too).

Just to test, I have disabled Zone Alarm and Mcafee just to see if either was blocking. I also installed the newest version of Mozilla and tried it.

All get nothing. Just that generic IE message of "this site cannot be located....etc" or in Mozilla "operation timed out when attempting to access...etc"

The computer with this issue is the one that connects wirelessly...that is the only difference I can think of....

But again, note...the other PC on the network running the SAME software config can access it fine.....and the one that cannot CAN access all other encryted sites fine (local bank, Discover card, AmEx, etc.)

I also checked in the Zones folder in the registry...nothing listed there.

HAS ANYONE ELSE experienced this or have any idea what to check?

Thanks very much

Go ahead and post your account number and expiration date and we'll see if we can duplicate the problem.

Ha ha...Little geeky humor there. Try your question in the windows 98 forum...This one is for developing websites.

If you connect the wireless one to the router using cable, does the problem persist?

Luck,
-SN

Sure....it's 8475 4785....

Hey....wait a minute!

I'll try the Win98 post too....

The direct cable....have not tried yet but will...have not yet b/c it'll be such a pain. The router is actually next door (at a relatives). The connection has been surprisingly good (these are brick houses too).

Beware if you don't encrypt your wi-fi and you have close neighbors. Just DO It.

Thanks
