I have a dynamic ip and I'm also running a server. What tools do you reccommend to automatically ping others server? (like: FREEping, KeepMyIP)
No-IP.com doesn't keep the exact same IP, it just has a client program that sits on your box that listens for a change in your IP and updates the information at No-IP server to point to your new IP.
In other words, it wouldn't work if you had client / server programs interacting with a constant IP address, etc.
If all you want to do is host your own site, No-IP is the way to go. I used them initially, but have since hosted my own web servers and just paying for a domain name.
