guys, i have two questions: 1, in Macromedia Fireworks (V.4) how can i edit image so that the edges will gradually fade away instead of solid edge lines? 2, how do i edit/create an image in a round or oval display instead of rectangula/square frame.

1. When using the Marquee or Lasso tool, set the edge to Feather. Enter number of pixels to feather (the more pixels, the softer the edge.) After you have made your selection, choose Select Inverse, then press Delete key. This will drop out background.
2. Use the Oval Marquee tool to make your selection. (if rectangular Marquee tool is showing, just click and hold cursor on icon until it changes to Oval Marquee tool.) Set Edge to Hard, Feather, or Anti-alias.
