Why the heck stupid IE sometimes ignores "width , height" tags in HTML? I hate it!

Maybe if you could be more specific? There are many reasons why the height/width attributes may not be utilized:
- there may be an image that is wider than the width you gave to the "container"
- The table width/height may be overriding a cell's height/width
- bad coding
- etc., etc., etc.

Do you have a particular example you would like to share?
