IE can't open my home Page

There are several places from were I can't open my home page using IE. IE just freezes when I try to access my home page from at work and school. Everyone else is able to see it. If I go directly to another page on the site it loads fine but if I click to go to my home page it freezes. This does not happen in any other browser...Firefox, mozilla, opera, etc
I do have to say that I noticed this behavior after I modified the server's config file to accept virtual hosts, which I have not had luck setting up...but that's another issue.
I figure that if the config file were bad then I would also have the freezing issue with the other browsers.
Any ideas what could be causing IE to not access my home page?

Hi, sorry for the delay to respond. I think I got it. I had a link to an mp3 file and that was causing the issue. I commented it and now it opens fine. I'm not sure why though.
