Ok, I posted yesterday to find out what code the shopping cart buttons are written in in the link below. When clicked they open a new window in side your current window. I can only assume that an empty <div> is set in place with absolute positioning and then that link gets dynamically loaded into it.
Click on any of the shopping cart related buttons to see what I mean.
I've been looking for about 4 hours straight now trying to figure out how to program a function like that through AJAX (which I just started learning last night).
I need to know how to make that type of windows pop up when a user clicks a link, i.e. a thumbnail which loads into the <Div> with the full size and a close button.
Please, I need the code for this or at least a tutorial. Any help would be much appreciated. I already did the w3schools tutorial like 4 times now.
Thanks.
EDIT:
Ok I found out that it's called an interstitial content box, but so far have only found code for one that pops up on page load. I need to have it open only onclick. Here is the link the tutorial.

Thanks to anyone who can help me figure this out.
